A WORD ABOUT COMPUTER GAMES. When I met, befriended, romanced, and eventually affianced Trina, I got as part of the package a whole passel of great new friends. That passel, along with a passel of old friends (mostly Eric, Josh and Brooks) threw us an engagement party. At that party, it came to light that many people, old friends and new friends alike, think that I spend a lot of my time playing PC games (I draw that careful distinction–my xBox is a distraction for playing with friends, and the PS2 is for people who would be jocks but for a paucity of natural talent).

Anyway, guilty.

SINCE THE MASSACHUSETTS SUPREME COURT’S “GAY MARRIAGE” DECISION CAME DOWN, and the Focus on the Family/Rush Limbaugh/Fox News cabal announced the resulting cultural apocalypse (the Commies are coming! They’ve infiltrated the judiciary!), I’ve been composing in my head the Blog Entry to End All Blog Entries. This BETEABE would set the bigotariat straight for all time, and if it didn’t the BETEABE would frame the issues so clearly that our opposition to the bigotariat–and its desire to impose Taliban-style Pentecostal rule in America–would be galvanized, our mission of equal rights and equal dignity crystallized.

Then Dahlia Lithwick beat me to it. Damn.

LATELY I’VE STUMBLED ACROSS SOME SPECTACULARLY WEIRD but entertaining sites. I’m too busy to surf them thoroughly or comment, so here’s a short list:

Janet the Snake: Supersexy Reptile Pundit

A Boy and His Computer’s church signs page

a list of LOTR slash fiction pieces involving Gollum (got it from Slashdot, not on my own, I swear)
