ALL IS WELL, PICS TO FOLLOW

Sunday, November 19th, 2006

I don’t know how it happened that two weeks went by between posts. I feel tremendously guilty, or I would if I weren’t so tired (from a trip to the dump, dropping off the fruits of hours of demolition in our basement). But here’s the skinny: The Gus! He is skinny, that is. He got sick — with the puking, with the unmentionable at the other end — for the first time in his short life this week, and he lost a bunch of weight. Take that, Anna Nicole: no Anatrim needed!

But nothing life-threatening, just difficult for the poor stoic Gus. He hasn’t been too photogenic though, what with the fluids besmearing the cute outfits his mother and aunt still put him in. He is their own tiny vomiting Ken doll!

In any event, he is feeling better, which means that we will inevitably be burning through many many bytes and pixels of him shortly. The Thanksgiving holiday is coming up, and we will take so many pictures on our trip south that we may need a new memory card.

FALL TONES LOOK GOOD ON THE GUS.

Black and yellow are fall colors, right?
bzzz bzzz bzzz

The bee suit that The Gus is rocking belongs to Curt, of course.
he hates having things on his head

We made some baby stew. Now, self-stirring!
not really cooking the baby; no need to report us

TDW is figuring out the dSLR and how to use natural lighting.

And The Gus is giving Sophie the only love she gets.
he also loves the camera. can you tell?

He cracks himself up.

Of course, things don’t always go just the way you want, when you are one year old:
you still can't use the car tonight, son.

But things work out in short order.
