NOT MUCH NEWS, BUT PICS, OF COURSE.
Friday, January 12th, 2007We are in wintry semi-dormancy, trying to recover from the holiday hecticity. (And yes, I am not only not the first to use “hecticity” on the compuweb intertubes, Google shows more than 700 uses, including a blog so titled. So there.) So we are cocooning. Luckily, we cocoon with The Gus and a digital camera.
Let me enlighten you, the faithful reader, about the picture editing process. First, we throw away many of the pictures we take right after taking them, on the grounds that they are out of focus or one of us is in the frame with The Gus and making a dopey face. Then, I upload to the PC, and in the bigger resolution of the LCD I see other grievous, unfixable faults–those are gone. I then upload the better ones to Flickr.
By the way, you may want to bookmark the Flickr page:

And of course the best ones go here.

He is walking like crazy.

He is achieving things, like the utter destruction of fruit. Note the heavy-lidded contentment:

And learning to strike out on his own.
