CUTE PIX OF GUS, AT LAST.
Wednesday, June 13th, 2007Insert standard apologia for delayed posting here.
We have been busy at work, both of us, and have been slaving over our basement remodel. We actually took fewer pictures in the past couple months than in a long time, certainly since we got the D50. But much has happened: The Gus has started at out-of-home daycare, which we call his “school”: “Gus, do you want to go to school and see your friends?” [solemn nod] “Gus, did you have a good time at school today?” [solemn nod]
We have also, of course, finished the bulk of the work on our basement remodel, which when truly complete and certified for occupancy by The Man will enable HJ to move back in, a good thing indeed. TDW, for her part, has gotten through some of the busiest parts of a huge project she is running — the NDA prevents further discussion of it here — and today the jury came back in a case I have been working on for two years: we win, they lose, winning is better than losing. Needless to say there is much adrenaline crashing going on.
So, without further ado, to the pictures:
The Gus enjoys corn now that he has teeth:

maybe he enjoys it too much:

we went to California last weekend for a wedding and met up with family:

The Gus met cousins.

He hit it off with one cousin especially well.

He remains drop-dead gorgeous:

He met horses:

Horses met him:

He shared a carrot:

And I mean shared:

He had a part in this wedding, which was multi-cultural but mostly Hindu by way of Trinidad by way of Thousand Oaks, and took it seriously:

‘Twas a festive and colorful event:

And successful, as Jake and Janey are now blissfully married:

The Gus paid his respects:

And everyone paid their respects to Ganesh:

After so much recreation, we are now resting. Back soon.
